What's Inside Carousel Workflow
A gift set, kit or advent calendar → a carousel of every product inside it, drawn from your own photos. Nothing generated, free.
What you walk away with
A ready-to-post TikTok photo carousel at 1080×1920: a cover with a chip that reads name · price · number of products, a spoiler slide, the contents with a photo each, and a last slide with the shop's address and 'Link in bio'. Plus a caption without hashtags, the hashtags kept apart, and a sound suggestion.

What is the What's Inside Carousel workflow?
The unboxing without the box. You list what's inside a product once (name, brand, size and a photo of each item) and the carousel lays itself out: a cover that asks the viewer to look before they buy, a blurred spoiler slide, the contents a few at a time, and a last slide that says where to get it. The words are templates filled from your list and the pictures are your own photos, so a run costs nothing and says nothing your data doesn't.
Before you start
Have these ready so you don't hit a blocker mid-workflow.
- A product that holds other products (an advent calendar, gift set, kit or box) in your Props library, with at least one photo of the box. A second photo becomes the spoiler slide.
- What's inside it, listed on that product: at least three items, each with a name and, ideally, its own photo on a plain background.
- Optional: the box's price and a link to where it's sold. The cover chip shows the price; the last slide prints the shop's address.
- A ppl.studio account. Nothing in this workflow is generated, so a run costs nothing and needs no Gemini key.
How the What's Inside Carousel workflow works

- Step 01~10 min the first time
List what's inside the box
Put the box in your product library with what's inside it, one row per item: its name, the brand, what it is, its size, and a photo of it on its own. This list is the whole script. Every word on the slides comes from it.
Why this matters: The format answers the question a buyer has before paying: what exactly do I get? It answers it with specifics. Brands, names and sizes are what people screenshot and argue about in the comments; a vague list makes a weak carousel.
OutcomeA product in Props with its photos, price and link, and at least three items listed inside it.How to do it with ppl.studio
Open the product in Props and use its "What's inside" section. Add rows one at a time, or paste the list from the retailer's page in one go.
- 1.1
Add the box as a product
Upload one or two photos of the box. The first is the cover; the second, when there is one, is blurred into the spoiler slide. Add the price and the link to where it's sold: the cover chip shows the price, and the last slide prints the shop's address with 'Link in bio'. Leave either out and the slides simply don't mention it.
- In-appProps Library — Upload products once, reuse across every scene with accurate colors and logo placement.
- 1.2
Paste the contents
Paste one line per item as Name | Brand | Type | Size, which is close to how most retailer pages already list a box. Tick 'full size' on items that are full size and the slide says so.
Example
Lip Glow Oil | Dior | Lip oil | 6 ml Advanced Night Repair | Estée Lauder | Serum | 15 ml
- 1.3
Add a photo of each item
A photo on white or a cut-out works best: the white is blended into the slide's cream background, so the product sits on the slide with no rectangle around it. When most items have a photo, the contents show as doors with a picture each. When fewer than about six in ten do, the slides list the contents over photos of the box instead.
Tip: Makers' press pages usually have product shots on white. Only use photos you have the right to post.
Output: One Prop: one or two photos of the box, an optional price and link, and 3+ rows of contents (name, brand, type, size, photo).
- Step 02~1 min
Lay out the carousel
Pick the product and decide whether to keep the cover line that's written for you or use your own. The order is fixed: the cover, the spoiler, the contents, then where to buy it.
Why this matters: The order is the format. The cover makes a promise (see inside before you buy), the spoiler makes the viewer swipe to collect it, and the contents pay it off a few at a time, so there's always a reason to swipe once more. On advent.center, the sister site this format comes from, 'What's inside' posts drew 1,901 views against about 800 for its other formats. That's one account's numbers, not a benchmark.
OutcomeA run set up with the product and, if you want them, your own cover words. How to do it with ppl.studio
The setup asks for the product and, optionally, the cover's line and chip. Leave those blank and they're written from your data. Then the run goes to the end on its own; there's no preview to approve, because nothing in it costs money.
- 2.1
Pick the product
Choose the box from your Props. It needs at least three items listed. Every row is shown, in the order you listed them.
- 2.2
Keep or rewrite the cover
The default line talks to the viewer about what they could miss, and the chip under it backs it with numbers from your data.
Example
"Don't buy this one before you see inside" over a chip reading "Glow Advent Calendar · £95 · 24 products".
Tip: Rewrite it only if you have something more specific to say, like a single standout item. The chip should always carry a real number.
- 2.3
Know how the contents are split
The contents are spread over at most six slides, each with a chip like '1–4 of 24'. An advent calendar's 24 doors land four to a slide, each with its door number, name, type and size.
Output: Cover → spoiler → contents (at most six slides) → where to buy.
- Step 03~2 min
Draw the slides and post
Let the slides draw, read them in order once as a viewer, then post them as a TikTok photo carousel with the caption and a sound.
Why this matters: The slides are made to look like a post typed in TikTok rather than an ad: the warm cream background of TikTok's own gift-guide carousels, one bold line in TikTok Sans, small lines on white chips, and no watermark, brand or slide counter until the last slide.
OutcomeThe slides in your Gallery, downloaded in order, with a caption, hashtags and a sound suggestion ready to paste. How to do it with ppl.studio
The slides are drawn on the server from templates and your photos, with the text baked in and kept clear of TikTok's own buttons.
- 3.1
Check the slides
Read it from the cover to the last slide. If a name or a size is wrong, fix the row in Props and run it again. It costs nothing.
- 3.2
Download the slides
'Download the slides' saves them in swipe order. The text is already on them, so post them as they are.
- In-appGallery — Every generation lands here. Filter, bulk download, send to campaigns.
- 3.3
Paste the caption, then add hashtags and a sound
The caption repeats the hook, says how many products are inside and which brands, and ends with 'Link in bio' when the product has a link. The hashtags (#whatsinside, #unboxing and one from the box's name) are kept apart because some posting setups don't allow them in the caption. The sound suggestion is a direction, not a track: pick one the accounts doing well in your niche are using.
- ExternalTikTok — Cross-post with your hook in the caption.
- ExternalInstagram Reels — Same 9:16 file, 3–5 hashtags max.
Output: 6–9 JPEG slides at 1080×1920 with the text baked in; a caption without hashtags, the hashtags apart, and a sound suggestion.

What's Inside Carousel workflow FAQ
Is anything in the carousel AI-generated?
No. The words are fixed templates filled from your product's data and the pictures are your own photos, blended onto the background. That's why a run is free, and why the slides can't claim anything your list doesn't say.
What if the items don't have photos?
The carousel still works. When fewer than about six in ten items have a photo, each contents slide lists its items (name, type, size) over one of the box's photos instead of showing a picture per door.
Can I change what a slide says?
The cover's line and chip can be replaced at setup. Everything else comes from the product's data, so to change a slide, change the row in Props and run it again.
Does it work in other languages?
The templates are in English only for now. Product names and brands print exactly as you typed them.
