What is the Podcast Clip workflow?

The clipped-podcast format — two people at their mics, one blunt question, an answer worth quoting, cut between close-ups — as a workflow. Pick a host and a guest from your Experts; the conversation is written turn by turn in each one's tone, each line is recorded in its speaker's own voice (so they sound the same in every clip), each is photographed at a mic in the same studio, and past the preview each line is lip-synced and the clip is cut together. Each step explains what needs to happen, why it matters for reach, and how to do it in the dashboard.

The Podcast Clip guide

  1. Step 01~1 min

Pick the host, the guest and the topic

Say what the clip is about and who it's for, pick the host (who asks) and the guest (who answers), and, if you sell something, the product.

Why this matters: The format works because it sounds overheard: two people with different voices, one of them pushing back. Two of your recurring creators make it a series viewers recognise.

OutcomeA brief, a host, a guest and an optional product.
How to do it with ppl.studio

The setup asks for both Experts; they must be different people.

    1. 1.1

Pick two people who sound different

A man and a woman, or two different ages: their voices are each Expert's own, and the guest's is never the same as the host's.

  2. Step 02~~30 s

Get the conversation written and voiced

The host opens mid-conversation on the question the viewer already has; the guest answers from something that happened to them; the host pushes back once; the guest's last line is the one worth quoting. Each line is recorded in its speaker's voice.

Why this matters: No greeting, no intro: the clip starts where a real cut would. A product, when there is one, comes up once in the guest's own words — a pitch is what makes these read as ads.

Outcome4–8 lines and a voice take for each.
How to do it with ppl.studio

Written on your Gemini key through the same brand rules and copy checks as every script, then voiced line by line.

    1. 2.1

      Read the title

It's burned across the top of the whole clip, the way clipped podcasts are captioned.

Output: 70–100 spoken words, each line ≤ 24 words, a 3–7 word title.

  3. Step 03~~40 s

Shoot both at their mics, then approve

Each creator is photographed at a mic in one studio — the same room, light and microphone — looking toward the other. The preview shows both photos and every line before anything is paid for.

Why this matters: One room is what makes two separate close-ups read as one conversation. The lip-sync is the only paid step, so it waits for your OK.

OutcomeTwo photos, and a frame per line with its take.
How to do it with ppl.studio

Shot by the Workbench's photo engine (the camera-roll realism and the phone finish), two pictures however long the clip.

    1. 3.1

      Approve the preview

The price shown is the lip-sync: about $0.02 per second of conversation.

  4. Step 04~~6 min

    Get it lip-synced and cut

Each line becomes a talking clip of its speaker, and the clips are cut together with word-by-word captions and the title across the top.

Why this matters: Cutting to whoever is speaking is the format. A recorded voice lip-synced keeps each speaker's voice identical in every clip.

OutcomeA 1080×1920 MP4 in your Gallery.
How to do it with ppl.studio

All the lines are lip-synced at once on your fal key — about 5 minutes — then cut on our side.

    1. 4.1

      Post it

Post to TikTok, Reels or Shorts; it's a natural series — same host, a new guest or a new question each time.

Output: One 9:16 MP4, 1080×1920, captions burned in.

Podcast Clip workflow FAQ

What does it cost?

About $0.75 for 30 seconds measured: the lip-sync is about $0.02 per second on your fal.ai key, the words, voices and two photos a few cents on your Gemini key.

Do the two sound different?

Yes. Each line is recorded in its speaker's own Expert voice, and when the two would share a voice the guest gets another of the same gender.

Does it pitch my product?

No. When you sell something it comes up once, in passing, in the guest's own words — no price, no 'link in bio'.
