What is the One-Take Journey workflow?

The one-take explainer — a single hero travelling through a workflow's stations with no cuts, each station reacting as it lands, the camera following a beat behind and pulling out to the whole path before the last hop, which slows at its top — as a workflow. Name your app; what travels (a message the user sends, a request) and four or five steps in your app's words are written, and the film is drawn frame by frame, ending on your app's name.

The One-Take Journey guide

  1. Step 01~~15 s

    Get the journey written

What travels, and four or five steps in order, each a piece of interface with its words; the last is the result.

Why this matters: One thing to follow keeps the eye on the product the whole way.

OutcomeThe hook, the hero, the stations and the closing line.

    1. 1.1

      Check the order

It should be the order your app really works in.

  2. Step 02~~30 s

Get it drawn in one take

The hero hops station to station, each one reacting, with a sound on every landing; the camera pulls out for the last hop, then the end card.

Why this matters: No cuts means no exit points.

OutcomeAn MP4 and a post caption.
